Jeep unveils their first electric vehicle

Jeep has unveiled the manufacturer’s first electric model to be marketed starting next year.

Contrary to expectations from the company, this is not a tough SUV, but an urban off-road vehicle.

Jeep deliberately avoids revealing additional information about the new model and does not specify the engine suppliers, driving range, or even if the new vehicle will have any off-road capability.

Jeep noted the fact that this is a model of particularly high importance for the manufacturer’s future model fabric. The company currently markets plug-in hybrid vehicles worldwide, and in fact the Jeep Wrangler 4 XE, the plug-in hybrid version of the Wrangler is the best-selling plug-in hybrid vehicle in the US as of last year.
