Now that Apple’s developer event is behind us, Apple’s next event on the way is likely to be the announcement of the iPhone 14 series that will take place, as every year, in September. We already know quite a bit about what is expected to happen at the launch event, with lots of rumors and reports pointing to the new iPhone lineup that will include the iPhone 14, iPhone 14 Max, iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
A new video from iUpdate offers another possible look at the design of the iPhone 14, including the shape of the new recess that will come, probably in the shape of a hole for the camera lens and a hole-shaped hole for the Face ID sensors, and changes in size and thickness For the current design of the iPhone 13 series.
iPhone 14 design: demo video of mockup (dummy) models of the new series
These are some of the more realistic iPhone 14 simulation units we have seen so far. In Sam Kohl’s video you can see that the base models, iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max are almost identical to last year’s iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Pro Max.
The iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max feature the same design as last year, along with the same aluminum edges. It should be noted that this year is the first year that Apple will launch a 6.7-inch iPhone “Max” that is not in the “Pro” category, and it will be available with a lighter matte aluminum frame than a heavy and shiny stainless steel frame.
Aside from these details, there is not much to note about the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max. The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max, on the other hand, are a little more interesting. As previous rumors have surfaced, Apple is abandoning the previous year’s notch design in favor of a new design with a pill-shaped cut.
It is difficult to see this design change in the dummy unit of the iPhone 14 Pro because dummy units do not include the screen panel. However, one interesting detail is that you can see how the ear speaker fits into this design. Apple apparently left it in place, but reduced the ear speaker at the top end of the screen, next to the device frame, allowing for a slightly smaller slot than previous years.
With the iPhone 14 Pro, removing the gap creates a rather interesting design, similar to other smartphone makers. The top speaker now sits separately from the slot because of the new hole and the pill-shaped cuts. This can really be a good thing given that the deficit grew slightly last year, despite reducing its width.
Another tip shown in the video is that the thickness of the photo array in the main camera is thicker and larger in the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max. The iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max are expected to include an upgraded 48-megapixel camera sensor, which comes as a larger sensor.
