Tesla Is Just Now Taking Cybertruck Reservations In North America

Tesla is only accepting reservations for the Cybertruck in North America. They have decided to close reservations in Europe and Asia.

Tesla has begun guiding a start of production in 2023 for the Cybertruck. In the meantime, Tesla is still taking reservations for the electric pickup truck.

The Cybertruck reservation program has been quite successful because Tesla received over 250,000 reservations in one week after unveiling the vehicle. Generally, they get a lot of reservations early after an unveiling, and then the number tapers off. That wasn’t the case with the Cybertruck.

Tens of thousands of people are ordering Cybertruck cars to be delivered in 2020. Demand for Cybertricks has been absolutely soaring- people are excited about the refreshed design and improved features and the positive impact on their health from the vehicle’s self-driving mode.

There are about 28000 entries on a cybertruck reservation thread, putting the number of reservations at one million. As time passes, more people keep buying reservations, and it is estimated to be 1.5 million now.

I predict that Tesla will have enough upfront, Cybertruck orders in the next three years to deliver only to holders of these reservations.

Tesla has turned off reservations for the Cybertruck for people outside of North America.

It was announced that Tesla is taking reservations for its Cybertruck, on a global scale. For Europe and Asia, the truck would not launch until later in 2019 than in North America, sometimes where Tesla starts deliveries for its new vehicles.

The Cybertruck will be produced at Gigafactory Texas in Austin.

Tesla was also expected to have some regulatory issues in Europe due to the Cybertruck’s design. The company has been considering a smaller and slightly redesigned version of the electric pickup truck for the market.

We don’t know a lot about the production version, but it seems that Tesla removed all Cybertrucks specs and pricing from their website last year.
